EmPower’s Mission: EmPower Health & Wellness combines the best strategies from fitness, nutrition, and psychology to help you live a healthier, more balanced lifestyle. In your program, you will be equipped with informative, actionable steps to make health happen in your unique situation and experience. It is about experimenting with positive progressions and strategizing a program that you are willing to work into your current lifestyle. Together, we will create an ultimate program you can sustain throughout a lifetime.

EmPower’s Nutrition Program is based on a “ladder” system of progressions, and it is your choice as to how high you would like to climb in this program. I believe in meeting clients “where they are at” in their current health journey, introducing one or two new health behaviors at a time, and then building on that foundation to ascend to the next step on the ladder. Just as you need to learn how to walk before you can run, you also need to learn to substitute a salad for a big mac before diving headfirst into a vegan raw-food cleanse.

Weeks 1-4: Set the Foundation

Goals: Set a foundation for basic nutrition, including portions (what to eat), proportions (how much to eat) and when to eat (bio-circadian nutrition). We will also address obstacles and triggers by analyzing why you eat for reason other than nutrition or hunger.

Weeks 5-6: Optimize Metabolism 

Goals: Rev up metabolism and boost fat-burning capacity by adjusting macronutrient proportions and introducing higher-level nutrition habits, like intermittent fasting and Ketone optimization. Stress reduction is also key to boosting the metabolism and optimizing digestion. We will address cortisol interference, eating speed, and stress reduction techniques.

Week 7-8: Perfecting Food Quality

Goals: Take your nutrition program to the next level by perfecting your food quality and nutrient density. Begin addressing daily sugar intake, possible food intolerances, insatiable cravings, and nutritional deficiencies.

4x additional 30-minute weekly check-in (1x/week)

Weeks 8-12: Gut Health and Program Optimization 

Goals: Become a nutrition ninja by completing this last climb of the ladder. Learn the elite levels of gut health and overall nutritional functioning. Introduce higher skilled eating behaviors, such as following an alkalizing, low inflammatory diet, further reducing sugar intake, and completing an optional pre-cleanse, liquid or elimination diet if necessary.
